I'm Helena Gilmour, the founder and lead designer of Studs + Stones.
As a banking professional and consultant, I've spent over a decade in formal offices where women often feel limited to be creative with how we look. I wore classic diamond studs every day, with every outfit.
Don’t get me wrong, I love my studs! But I wanted to add a pop of colour one day and dress them up to feel special for an evening out the next day. I didn’t want to take off my gorgeous studs and replace them with costume or high street jewellery, that’s not my style. I wanted to maximise my existing jewellery box! There was nothing in the market that was this versatile.
So I created a range of earring drops I want to wear myself. Studs + Stones was founded to give life to your studs.
Life is too short to wear boring earrings.

We’re a boutique jeweller and we're building a business for empowered women.
We work with female-owned and female-run businesses wherever possible. From our gemstones and precious metals suppliers all the way through to our branding and photography, our products and services are (mostly) sourced from women.
Our earring drops are handcrafted in limited-edition runs. We only use real gemstones and genuine freshwater pearls in sterling silver, 14K gold filled or 14K gold. No crystals, imitation or plated brass here, that’s not our thing.
We combine classic Scandinavian design aesthetics with Singaporean tropical colours. Our designs are inspired by bold architecture, captivating natural structures and finding the unexpected in everyday scenes.
